Get Well Wishes

It's my Tuesday to post at Craft-Dee BowZ and I needed a get well card for my daughter who had surgery so I made this to cheer her up. I used this adorable image from Whipper Snapper, and really did stamp an image rather than use a digital stamp!  I love to stamp and enjoy the old fashioned red rubber stamps!
This card was so much fun to make since Stephanie loves girly cards. I pulled out my lace and pearls, my flowers and satin ribbon and this pretty die. Green is her favorite color, so although St. Patrick's Day is over, she got a green get well card. Stephanie has red hair and she has 6 kitties and I colored them to match her kitties in real life.
I made a triple looped satin bow and added pretty pink and white flowers above it.  I used my bow tool to make this bow and it came out with perfect, uniformed sized loops. Making bows is so easy with my bow tool!
Have you had a chance to follow Craft-Dee BowZ and see the pretty creations from the team members posted each Tuesday?  If you have a chance, please stop by here and take a look!

A Girly Tag card ...

Hi
It is Tracey here with my mid month inspiration project .. I am always looking to make a cute shaped card so as I love Tags ... why not make a tag shaped card  .I love the Julia Nutting large girly stamps which are perfectly sized for a large tag so I used one here on my Tag card .I used  striped and spotty cardstock from Ann Marie Crafts  on this tag and I paper pieced the same cardstock for the clothes...I think it gives a really co-ordinated look ..The gorgeous flowers are from Petaloo...

The swirl is made using a memory box die called Riviera.
The oval fancy frame is made using a crafters companion oval die. The word Love is a fuzzy lemon die and it has been cut out 4 times and layered up to give dimension .
I coloured the image with promarkers and the gorgeous bow was created using my fabulous Craft-DeeBowZ  Bowmaker.

Well that's it from me guys .I hope you join us in this months challenge
Happy Crafting

Believe in Yourself

Hello everyone Kathy here and it's my Tuesday to post for Craft-Dee BowZ.  I was watching a video by Jennifer McGuire on how to paint with Distress Oxides.  She makes some really awesome cards, so when I seen her video I had to give it a try.

It was so darn easy and I really enjoyed the process and making the card.  All I did was to stamp  this image from Mama Elephant using Versa Mark ink then embossed it with white embossing powder.  I covered the embossed piece with Distress Oxide inks, starting with Peacock Feathers, Salty Ocean and then Broken china.  I buffed my piece off with a dry cloth to get the ink off of the embossed area.  Then I took a damp paint brush and started lifting the color from the inside of the flowers.  After going over the image one time I heat set it and went over it again to lift more color from it.

I then added some white detail with a white gel pen added some Nuvo Crystal Drops and added a bow that I made with my Craft-Dee BowZ tool. If you haven't picked up your own Craft-Dee BowZ tool don't hesitate.  It makes creating a bow so easy. To end it all I placed my card onto a side fold card base and my card was all finished.

Have you entered your card into our Challenge for this month?  If you haven't done so we would love to have you join in on all the fun.  We look forward to seeing what you create.  Up next Tuesday is Tracey and I am sure you will want to see what she has in store for you.

Take care and Big Crafty Hugs,
Kathy

Butterflies and Swirls

Hello everyone
Welcome to Inspiration Tuesday here at Craft-Dee BowZ.
I thought I'd pop in and share my new project with you.

I had some things sitting on my desk in my studio and they were calling out to be used.
One thing was a template I have made for a double curtain fold. So I obliged, LOL.

Recently I picked up some handmade paper and wanted to see if it would cut good on my Cutterpillar and if the score tool would work well on this paper. Well, I am happy to say, that paper scored great and the Cutterpillar cut it like it was butter.

My card has no stamping but that curtain fold sure makes a statement. I added a black panel behind the curtain folds to make that beautiful yellow handmade paper POP.

To further embellish my card and add accents to the folds,
I used some butterfly outline stickers and colored them in with ultra fine glitter.

My bow was made using my ever trusty Craft-Dee BowZ tool

I used Hug Snug seam binding to make a 4 loop bow.
That Hug Snug makes a great bow and the Craft-Dee BowZ tool makes bow making so easy!!

SUPPLIES I USED ON MY PROJECT
Paper/Card Stock: White CS, Black CS, DP, Handmade paper
Accessories:Ultra Fine Glitter, Craft-Dee BowZ  tool, Outline Stickers, Hug Snug seam binding

I hope you’ve enjoyed my project. Hope you will link a project in our monthly challenge. Don’t forget our theme every month is always Anything Goes with a Handmade Bow.

Also on each Tuesday of the month, a different designer will post here on the Craft-Dee BowZ blog to inspire you! Thanks so much for stopping by today and we’ll see you soon!
