I love Christmas cards!

I'm one of those people who makes Christmas cards year round. I love making them and there are so many beautiful die cuts for the winter season that I can't just put them away the day after Christmas!

Today is my Tuesday to post on Craft-Dee BowZ and guess what...I've made a Christmas card.  The challenge for you at Craft-Dee BowZ is ANYTHING GOES AND INCLUDE A HANDMADE BOW.  Not so hard when you love ribbon like the Team at Craft-Dee BowZ does!!

I love the color pink, including dusty rose, and I love when the color is used for Christmas cards. The background snow as made using a stencil and clear glitter paste so the snowflakes are perfectly round, but flat. The sentiment was stamped on clear acetate and I cut around it and glued it over the snowflakes.

I used this beautiful die by Nellie Snellen. I cut the tree out of silver glitter paper and right behind the tree I used a darker dusty rose paper and then for the outer frame die cut I used a lighter dusty rose paper that I took white paint and sponged the paper so it wasn't just plain pink.

And what really makes this card special is the bow. It's a dusty pink satin and I made a double looped bow using my Craft-Dee BowZ tool. I've often offered to send someone who buys a bow tool with ribbon and no one has ever taken me up on the offer. I will, again, offer a packet of beautiful ribbon if you buy a bow tool and write to me at my e-mail address on my blog. I adore my bow tool and will never make another bow in my hands using my fingers. The bow tool is small, easy to use, and I've made perfect bows with it for years now.

The sponsor this month at Craft-Dee BowZ is Fred She Said who has offered a $10 gift certificate to the winner of our challenge!

Fred She Said Designs offers a wide variety of digital products with a floral flair and cute characters too - Digi's, Pre-coloured images, Papers, Sets, Fred's Flower Kits, and even digital cutting files. Have some fun with Fred!

I hope you'll join us this month at Craft-Dee BowZ for our ANYTHING GOES AND INCLUDE A HAND MADE BOW!

Happy Birthday card

Hi all Tracy here ...
It is time for my inspiration post for January .I wanted to make an elegant clean card for a change ,my cards usually have oodles of embellishments on them and it was nice to do something a little different . I used my new sentiment and border stamps  from Phil Martin at creative expressions. I used a blue distress ink [Broken china] to stamp with to match the pretty ribbons from this months MPP pack from Donna. The flowers are made using the Arianna blooms heartfelt creations stamp and die set which I stamped using the same ink .
I also used Sue Wilsons pierced square dies to create the frame around the sentiment and matched some blue cardstock I had from create and craft UK .
The stunning bow was created using my trusty Craft-dee Bowz bow maker., it is my go to bow making tool .It makes perfect bows every time with no effort at all. I added a gem centre to the bow to make it sparkle.

Well that's all from me and I hope you like my project and that you come and join in the fun January challenge where anything goes with a handmade bow
Happy crafting

Under the Sea

Hello, it's Marty and this is my first post on the Craft-Dee BowZ blog!  Before I share my project, I just want to remind everyone that our monthly challenge is always ANYTHING GOES AND INCLUDE A HANDMADE BOW.  Our sponsor for this month is Fred She Said -  check out their site and you'll find an awesome variety of digital stamps to choose from.

Today I'm sharing a project I made last week.  Last summer I got some new Julie Nutting doll stamps and one of them was the SeaSallie Mermaid.  Since then, I've been wanting to use her in a project, but hadn't gotten around to it yet.  Since she's a larger stamp, I decided to use an 8"x10" canvas I had in my craft supplies.  Here's my canvas:

Check out this double-loop bow!  Thank you, Donna, for the gorgeous ribbon.  I couldn't have made this without the Craft-Dee BowZ tool because it's easy to make different-sized bows and there are helpful tutorials here Need one?  Click right here.

If you'd like to know more about how I finished my project, please head over to my blog.

Thank you for stopping by today and we'd love to see you play along in the challenge - you could be our next winner!

Tracey will be back next Tuesday with some more inspiration so don't forget to stop by.  Have a crafty day!

January Challenge

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to 2017
Let's start with a bit of housekeeping.....
2016 was a great year, however,
we are saying "good-bye"
to one of our designers, Vicki Robertson.
Vicki was with us for 2 1/2 years and was a super
talented contributor, however, she wants to
have more family time so she has
stepped down. She will be missed.

With the beginning of the new year
we are welcoming Marty Fishman to the team.
(Don't forget to give her some love)
Here is a little bit about Marty -
Married 34 years with a son, Ben, and daughter, Erica, no grandchildren.  My husband, Mark, and I are both retired.  I'm an animal lover and have had many pets during my lifetime and marriage, primarily cats.  Currently "Mom" to 13-year old Cairn Terrier, Brody, who is diabetic and completely blind, and a recent rescue cat, Luda, who's about 5.  I have done various crafts over the years since I was young, including knitting, cross stitching, scrapbooking and now I love card-making.  The funny thing is when I was into scrapbooking, I said I'd never make a card!!  Never say never...

one more little bit of housekeeping info.
